While wine tasting and music are both indispensable in French culture and lifestyle, they complementing each other perfectly. In this first-ever jazz string quartet performance and cocktail pairing at a local distillery, the Hong Kong-based Korvi Quartet takes audiences on a unique cultural journey through various French musical styles. Enjoy music ranging from the Tourdion, a traditional folk dance from medieval France, to the impressionistic works of Debussy and modern gypsy jazz that invites listeners to swing along with its groovy rhythm. Also featured are original compositions by Hong Kong jazz musician Kenneth Li, inspired by the fascinating processes involved in spirit production.
The performance takes place in a local distillery, creating an aromatic environment that enhances the musical experience while allowing the audience to taste specially crafted cocktails paired with specific pieces from the programme. Immerse in the overflowing romance of French culture with a sumptuous menu for all five senses.

Kenneth Li
CURATOR and Music director
Kenneth Li has emerged as a versatile jazz violinist, composer, arranger, and sambista. His musical footprint extends across continents, gracing stages in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada etc. His flair in jazz performance was honed at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he earned his Master’s degree in jazz violin performance. His discography includes a variety of singles and albums, notably his solo EP “Hey.” that embodies a unique blend of musical expression. He is also a member of the award-winning neo-chamber ensemble, Sea Island & Ferry, which has completed a UK tour in August 2024. Kenneth’s works have been showcased on significant platforms such as the International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) World New Music Days and the Asian Classical Music Initiative (ACMI) International Conference. Having received commissions from esteemed organizations such as the Musicus Society, the Hong Kong Museum of Art etc., he is dedicated to redefining the boundaries of musical genres through his compositions. Currently, Kenneth is advancing his academic pursuits by undertaking doctoral studies in composition at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with the support of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund.
Korvi Quartet

Founded by jazz violinist and composer Kenneth Li, Korvi Quartet is one of the rare jazz string quartets in the world. Korvi's style is a combination of the essence of classical and jazz. It exudes a unique and rich sense of European jazz and explores the intriguing chemical effects of groove and improvisation within a string quartet. While having performed in different countries in Europe, America and Asia, members of Korvi also took part in numerous distinctive performances of unconventional settings in Hong Kong, such as The Tale of Bees in Concert in collaboration with local bee conservation organisation Beetales. Korvi's original single MERA is now available on various streaming platforms.
Nic Law @ N.I.P Gin
COCKTAIL CREATOR
Nic is the co-founder of Hong Kong Craft Distilling Co. Limited (the "Company") and master distiller of the Company's gin products under the brand N.I.P. He commenced his venture into the food and beverages industry in 2017 when he went on an expedition to learn, research and explore his long-standing interest and passion about spirits, gin in particular. Having been a religious consumer of cocktails and spirits, it came to a point where mere consumption no longer satisfied his passion. As a result, he decided to make a 180 degree turn in his career as a lawyer by setting his sights on becoming a distiller and fulfilling his long-term dream of creating a local brand of craft spirits. In his pursuance of this dream, he travelled to Australia and Scotland to research and learn the craft, from visiting to working short stints in distilleries, as well as attaining qualifications in distilling with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling of the United Kingdom.
